For many years, I was very reserved when it came to my personal story.  I didn't grow up with many privileges and the majority of my childhood was spent on the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum.  Needless to say, I observed a lot of struggle within my family, especially as it related to finances and relationships.  But just as I was exposed to plenty examples of what not to do, I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by the right mix of loving family members.  Their guidance led me to develop strong values, character, and resilience.  It's true when they say the best things in life really aren't things.

At a young age, I decided that I did not want the same struggles for my future family.  Getting a college education was how I chose to break the cycle and when I wanted something for myself - I simply worked for it.  From earning my first paycheck at age 16, to working through college, paying for my education independently and being the first of my family to graduate with a Bachelors Degree.  To my professional designations, cultivating my career, and starting this business...I owe it all to my own personal grit, owning my story, and surrounding myself with the right people.  Simply put, my purpose is bigger than me.

It has been a rewarding journey but one that is certainly not without its fair share of tough times.  For 10.5 years I was a military spouse, enduring multiple deployments, duty station changes, and supporting other military families through similar challenging times. Between deployments, I relocated from my home state of Texas, to Missouri, and to Washington State where I have resided since 2006.  I've built a passionate career, been married, divorced, and remarried, rebuilt my life, experienced setbacks, hit a rock bottom, and ridden the roller coaster to find love again.

I've come to embrace the lessons and blessings throughout my life and speak openly about my humble beginnings and all things that have led to where I am today.  I've had the unique experiences of having very little to my name to earning personal success and being a trusted advisor for individuals and families who claim millions to theirs.  With 20 years of experience (and counting) in the personal financial services industry, I am seasoned as a financial professional; though I am always learning and mastering my craft.  Few things inspire me more than helping others ignite the full potential of all their assets (financial and non-financial) to positively change their story, create opportunities, and ultimately lead more independent, secure, and fulfilling lives.
